Generator fire, early equipment The Pod: Andy Frazer: “The Pod was built to enable a 2 hand-held camera unit with VTR to be air shipped for WYWH etc. It was built just before Mike Hobbs joined Thames in 1973.” Chris Dingley: “As Andy said, the pod was designed for WYWH and basically travelled around Europe either in an aircraft hold or on the back of a lorry. It was extremely cramped inside and also very hot!”
